Do you recognise these two?

During the service on Sunday 3rd August, Carol Lawson and Wendy Sculthorp were commissioned as Recognised Parish Assistants for St Luke's. They have both completed a 16-week course along with others from York Deanery, which involved training in listening skills and pastoral care. Carol and Wendy received a special blessing and anointing for their new ministry.

We also prayed for Revd Liz Carrington in her developing role as Deacon and 'Community Chaplain'. She explained to the congregation about how she has been working with local businesses and schools, developing community links and support.
