The Resurrection: the drama comes together

As the Church begins its commemoration of the betrayal, arrest, condemnation and death of Jesus over the twelve days from Passion Sunday to Good Friday, preparations are well under way for the performance at 7.00pm on Easter Day, Sunday 5th April, of 'The Resurrection', devised by St Luke's member Dr Mike Tyler and based on texts from York's mediaeval cycle of Mystery Plays.

St Luke's has performed in the four-yearly waggon-based performances of parts of the Mystery Play cycle since their revival in the early 1990s, and The Resurrection draws on that experience while making full use of the church building.

Admission by free ticket from Mike or Gillian Tyler on 01904 645393.
