Vote with your Faith - St Luke's Lent Course 2015

Lent is the time in the Church's year when we go 'back to basics' and take stock of our relationship with God, as we prepare to commemorate some of the most significant moments in the story of Jesus Christ.

With a General Election coming at the beginning of May, St Luke's is taking the opportunity this year to look hard at five of the issues that are making a lot of our national news at the moment, and to ask how our faith might shed light on them.

Each of us who has a vote will want to consider prayerfully how we use it, and how the life and terachings of Jesus help us to make that decision.

No-one will tell you which party to vote for, but this will be an opportunity to share different opinions and viewpoints together as Christians, and to make our choice after some shared discussion and prayer.

Each Wednesday evening will begin with a short service of Holy Communion at 7 o'clock, followed by a time of prayer and conversation.

Why not put the Cross at the centre as you decide where to put your cross on the voting paper?
